Feed Rates for Tucker Tub Pet Food

Feed rates are the hardest to pinpoint since there are so many variables like the age of the pet, the activity level, any competition with other pets.

Tucker Tub pet food has a very high feed rate and therefore requires less to obtain an equivalent amount of energy compared to most commercially available pet food, this has the added benefit of saving money as you use less and so your tub goes further.

As a general rule of thumb, feed 30 to 40 grams per kilo of body weight, usually choicing the lesser amount as the feed rate in our product is very high.

So, for example if your pet weighs 10kg, feed about 300 grams of feed per day, and that's total feed amount. This weight includes any additional foods like dry food or extra vegtables, treats etc. And if you have a big dog of 30kg, then around 900 grams total food per day.

Keep an eye on your pets weight and adjust feed rates as required to maintain their correct weight. Be sure to always have fresh clean water available for your pet.

If your pet is gaining weight, then simply reduce your feed rate to regain that perfect body, or increase the feed rate if your pet is losing weight.

A varied diet is the ideal way to be sure that your pet is receiving all the nutrients they require. A bone occaisionally is great for their teeth and gums, as is a good quality dry food added to their feed for that added crunch.
